Eddie’s Gem

When Eddie Hauswurz got his Masi cross bike, he knew it was going to be artistic as well as functional. Leather bar tape, brown suede saddle, golden champagne paint job…a perfect setup for a pair of wood rims.

He decided on a pair of DT 240 hubs and we built a set of Elegant rims using butted 14 gauge spokes. My daughter, Kristina, laced them up and I did the finish tension and truing. Eddie glued on Challenge 27mm Paris-Roubaix tubulars. Ahhh, the ride of royalty!

Take a look, isn’t this a knockout rig?
